Kathleen Alexander is a native of Northern California. After living in Maui for twelve years, she and her husband relocated to The Sea Ranch. She has been painting in watercolor for over 40 years. Kathleen received a BS in Biochemistry from San Francisco State University, studied watercolor painting with photorealist James Torlakson at Skyline Community College, and also received a one year scholarship to attend the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. She began teaching watercolor classes and workshops in 2006 and participated in fine art festivals from 2006 through 2016. Kathleen is a Signature Member of the National Watercolor Society, Watercolor West, and the Northwest Watercolor Society.
