For the health and safety of our loved ones and our communities.
For the awesome power and simultaneous fragility of our natural environment here at the coast.
For beauty and art and the skill and craft with which our artisans create, capture, and form – from their hearts, with their hands, to nurture their souls – not out of convenience, but because they must.
For that is art.
It is the drive, the drum beat, the whisper, the tug, the thing that forces an artist from safety and security, to the beckoning blank slate that must be filled.
