New Art Exhibit – January 2023 FOOD…Glorious Food!

Join us on Saturday, January 14th 4-7pm, for the launch of this cheerful, bright, light-hearted exhibit and the launch party for the artists who offer this work for your pleasure.

While the new year is often associated with austerity, dieting, exercise, and all the things, we’d like to invite you to the visual gluttony of our January exhibit FOOD…Glorious Food! This exhibit is a love letter to some of our favorite indulgences.

Melan Allen’s philosophy is “We eat with our eyes” and she applies that to her art. Her large-format detailed oil paintings on canvas are “celebrations of food and color: vivid, playful, and joyous.”

Lisa Keenan’s photography embraces the gorgeous, luscious, simple elegance of natural foods. She sees beauty in everything, giving her the ability to understand, compose and create compelling, captivating imagery from the simplest of ingredients – light, color, context.

Marienne Chapman is a former pastry chef who fell in love with wheel thrown ceramics. She uses many of the same techniques in her detailed ceramic pieces developed while working as a pastry chef and her work definitely looks good enough to eat! Her donuts are to die for!

Melan Allen, Lisa Keenan and Marienne Chapman focus their creative efforts on food art during the month of January.
