The work of local photographer Jon Klein is a celebration of the beauty of the Mendocino Coast. His favorite subjects to photograph are wild birds and animals, misty forest scenes, powerful ocean waves, and dramatic coastal views. This piece is a 16x20 inch matted and framed picture Jon took late one summer day directly below the town of Westport, CA on the northern Mendocino coast. The little gully pictured is made by a small stream that flows directly into the beach, and it is like a beautiful untended garden of nasturtiums, crocosmias, and paintbrush flowers mixed in with horsetails, ferns, and blackberry brambles..
