This 20"x40" oil painting titled By Spring Ranch Barns is part of the FORMS OF NATURE exhibit at Lansing Street Gallery in January and February 2025.

Maeve Croghan's paintings are a unique interpretation of our natural world. She begins most of her paintings outside, deeply experiencing her surroundings as she is painting it. There, she is influenced by the all the elements. Using color and form she often pushes reality in her work, giving the paintings a life and movement that the viewer otherwise may be only able to sense. Maeve finishes her paintings in the studio, working only from memory and intuition. Maeve’s focus is nature in its many amazing forms.

Maeve began making full paintings at age 15. She studied Painting at the San Francisco Art Institute, as well the Portland Museum Art College. She has BA from New College of California in 'Art and Education', with a focus on community mural making.

She has been the recipient of prestigious juried awards and her paintings have been chosen for multiple editions of juried art books. Maeve’s paintings are shown in galleries around the country and have been exhibited in Museum showings in Alaska, California, Oregon, New Mexico, Michigan and Japan. Her paintings are in collections throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe, Japan and Mexico.

Maeve is the founder of the ‘Mendocino Eco Artists’ (MEA), an Activist Artist group. The MEA has Art Shows benefitting and publicizing different environmental organizations and causes. Maeve has an art studio in Mendocino, as well as in San Francisco, Ca. at Hunter's Point Shipyard Artists’ Colony in San Francisco, Ca.
